This week, I went to three new places in New York
Paley Park
Greenacre Park
Peter Detmold Park
These were the pictures I got from this weekend
As of right now, here are some updates to my project:
-I want the title of this book to be To the Places Unseen, but at the same time, I do want to include places that are commonly known. But as of now, I think I like the title a lot so I am just going a lot with that.
-I am still experimenting with the editing process, I am still debating whether I want to have all the pictures be cool or warm. It is something I am still debating on right now because the temperature affects the overall feeling of the photograph. Right now, I am leaning towards a more warmer temperature within my photograph but it's hard because of the weather lately. I think I will ultimately decide once I take all of my photos.
-I have discovered 6 new places so far. Right now, my goal is to find 30 new places and then all document them. So right now, I have 24 more places to discover. I am evaluating whether that is realistic because I do only have one month left. So that's about 6 new places a week, which is possible, but quite difficult. Over the next week, I think I need to strategize how to maximize time and still be able to discover a lot.
Side Note:
-Doing this project has really allowed me to enjoy photography again. Last year, I hardly picked up the camera and never went out to take photos, but lately, I have really enjoyed the process. And I am discovering places in New York that are really cool too. I am just happy I am doing this passion project because it really has helped me rediscover why I enjoyed photography so much.
